Sunrise Rotary

Autumn Gold

In 1995, John Mutchler suggested that Sunrise Rotary take over Estes Park’s Autumn Gold Festival. This annual festival of beer, brats and music has grown to be one of the largest events in Northern Colorado.

 How We Started

Our Sunrise Rotary Club was chartered October 2, 1987 at the Stanley Hotel with 28 charter members. The main purpose of Sunrise Rotary is service – to fellow Rotarians, to the community, and to the world.

Our club of nearly 80 members is part of the world wide Rotary organization founded on February 23, 1905 by Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer. Today there are more than 1.2 million Rotary members in more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries.

How We Operate

The Sunrise Rotary Club meets every Tuesday morning at the Other Side Restaurant. Meetings start at 7 a.m. with breakfast, a moment of silence, recitation of the 4-Way Test, and the Pledge of Allegiance. After breakfast we introduce guests, conduct business, and have a brief program. Meetings adjourn promptly at 8 a.m.

Once a month at the morning meetings club committees gather to conduct business.
